“I don’t pretend to know what love is for everyone, but I can tell you what it is for me; love is knowing all about someone, and still wanting to be with them more than any other person, love is trusting them enough to tell them everything about yourself, including the things you might be ashamed of, love is feeling comfortable and safe with someone, but still getting weak knees when they walk into the room and smile at you.”

So I’m finally getting around to write a little about the new year. I’ve gotta say.. it’s looking like it’s going to be a good, maybe even great, year. Possibly a little crazy, maybe still a bit uncertain, but the potential is amazing. Wishing you lots of love, laughter, delicious ice cream and wondrous books. ♥ :)
“Love is hell; but it’s a hell that’s worth all the fire, brimstone, and torture in the long run.”

“There is never a time or place for true love. It happens accidentally, in a heartbeat, in a single flashing, throbbing moment.”

“You have to walk carefully in the beginning of love; the running across fields into your lover’s arms can only come later when you’re sure they won’t laugh if you trip.”

“Did she love him? She wanted to but doubted the authenticity of her own feelings. What did she know of love, whose reliable examples were all from stories.”

“Then she says, ‘I love you.’ Like three drops of blood falling onto snow.”

“You love someone, you open yourself up suffering, that’s the sad truth. Maybe they’ll break your heart, maybe you’ll break their heart and never be able to look at yourself in the same way. Those are the risks. That’s the burden.Like wings they have weight, we feel that weight on our backs, but they are a burden that lifts us. Burdens which allow us to fly…”

“We all carry around so much pain in our hearts. Love and pain and beauty. They all seem to go together like on little tidy confusing package. It’s messy buisness, life. It’s hard to figure-full of surprises. Some good. Some bad.”
—Henry Bromel (via quote-book)
“Love is missing someone whenever you’re apart, but somehow feeling warm inside because you’re close in heart.”
—Kay Knudsen | Submitted by xsmiiles (via quote-book)
“All our fights and lies made us stronger. Thats where you can tell if its real love. no matter what happens, you make it through together. Each person has insecurities and character flaws that they have to get past, and it’s a decision to grow together and reach a place of understanding and acceptance or grow apart and go separate ways. It’s a test of how strong your love is for that person. You either give up or hold on for dear life.”
—Edyl Patrick Victoria (via quote-book)
“This is the true measure of love: When we believe that we alone can love, that no one could ever have loved so before us, and that no one will ever love in the same way after us.”
—Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (via reluctantbuddha)
